Robert Shaw, Atlanta is rich in choral groups, including several
which have gained national distinction. Some of these groups were
founded by members of Shaw's Atlanta Symphony Chorus and have
survived over the decades to make their own name. The Atlanta
Singers, begun 24 years ago, is among the most notable. David
Brensinger conducts the Singers, whose repertoire on 'Chantez'
includes sacred Renaissance masterworks (Praetorius' 'Psallite,'
'Swete Was The Song the Virgine Soong,' Victoria's 'O Magnum
Mysterium,' and 'Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen'), traditional carols
